What a present!

Our Christmas gift did not come on Christmas Day. It came early, on December 7! It didn't even come in a box, but by a phone call from Melissa at AWAA! We finally received our referral!! Her Chinese name is Lu Qing Fang and she is 3 years old. What a wonderful present! But...unfortunately, it's one we will have to wait 4-5 more months for. We are praying for a speedy RA (referral acceptance) so we can travel to China and bring Alanna home.

Eagerly Awaiting the New Year!

While some people may be disappointed the holidays are over, I am thrilled to see them pass. Not because I don't enjoy them, but because it brings us that much closer to the day of bringing Alanna home!

I've met several wonderful people, on the Hefei chat group, that recently traveled to adopt their own child. Through these families, I have received more pictures of our little girl, and even a little bit of video. One mother commented that she was sweet and loving and just wanted some snuggles.
