Need some suggestions

After surgery, the Dr. said that Robert needs to keep his neck covered and out of the sun to protect it and minimize scarring. Since his job involves working outside almost everyday, I need to find something he can wear that's not as obvious as a big bandage. I was thinking about a mock turtleneck, but I need it to be lightweight, since we do live in Georgia and... for it to be somewhat manly looking. A sport type material would be great, but most turtlenecks are meant to keep you warm and not cool.

Any suggestions or places I can find something like this??

You might want to go to a sporting goods store ( REI if you have one), They have a multi use item that can be use as a neck gator, cap, bandana, headband, etc. It's a lightweight stretchy fabric that comes in an assortment of colors. I used it for our trip to Australia. It would work as a good sun protection for his neck, and wouldn't look like a big bandge

Here is a website for the thing I was telling you about. http://www.dakotamainstreet.com/dickiepage.html

Also, go to eBay - search for "mock turtleneck dickey" there were a lot to choose from. I promise I didn't make it up! ;)

Also, Google search "turtleneck dickey" again a lot to choose from.

Hang in there~

Nancy,
Here's a link to the item I talked about in my 1st comment:
http://www.buffwear.com/pages/technical/ways-to-wear.php
It's also available at Target & is rated as summer wear.
