You've GOT to be kidding me!

Alanna and I were vacuuming out my van this afternoon, since she decided to dump ALL the dirt from her shoes onto the floor. She LOVES playing in the dirt on the playground at school and has turned into a walking sandbox! Anyway, I'm vacuuming away and turn around to hear her wailing. She is laying face down on the pavement looking like she's trying to fly like superman with her hands and feet off the ground. She tripped right over the vacuum cord and hit her forehead in the SAME spot she has already hit a gazillion times! OUCH! Huge welt on her head. Daddy told her she needs to put her hands out to catch herself and she said "no, it hurt my hands". Well yes, but better than hurting your head my darling!

OK...a few hugs, kisses and an ice pack later. She decides to balance herself between the arm of the couch and the arm of the chair and swing. I'm in the kitchen and hear a loud smack. (Let me remind you that we currently have concrete floors, not that wood floors would make it any better) Her hand slipped and she lands smack on her face! YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! She now has a big fat lip, bloody teeth and a loose front tooth. Oh my!

OK, I also need to mention our post placement visit is in two days! The poor child looks like she's been playing goalie in a hockey game! Maybe I should start having her wear a helmet and mouth peice. I do have some old TaeKwondo gear...
